you get what you pay for
I’ve been watching these awesome YouTube art tutorials. They are so cool and finally I decided that I wanted to try one. I got out my oil pastels, some painter’s tape, and a few different markers and pencils. Then I got to work.
I quickly realized that they have much higher quality oil pastels than I do. It’s very easy to have high quality oil pastels than I do because I got my student pack for free at a workshop a few years ago. They are very similar to crayons. When it comes to art supplies, you really do get what you pay for. Mine didn’t blend anywhere near as well, but it was still a fun experiment. I want to get a white-out pen. And maybe in a few months, I’ll cough up the $65 for a pack of 24 oil pastels.

Using the tape is really the best trick!
I also finished the larger Carl project. It’s not my favorite. I think it’s too specific for a big project. But because I have my deadline, I finished it which means I hit my goal!

More art. More art. I am making more art!
I think you are doing nicely with your art. Have a blessed Lent Season.
