portals to other worlds

This week’s project took the last page out of my large sketchbook from…wait for it..college. I went to Michael’s yesterday to pick up a new one so that I could keep going this week and I also bought a white paint pen!

This week’s project is courtesy of a sketch from my conference notes a few weeks ago.

After all, books are portals to other worlds.

I told a friend this week that most of these weekly projects get 3 twenty-minute sessions and that has consistently held up as what’s doable. I really loved the addition of the paint pen for this one. Really feels like there’s a night fair happening behind that door. Live music too, I’m sure.
