I used to think that the Christian faith was private; I don’t think that anymore. I do think our faith is personal but I also see that it’s community-based. We are already part of the church, the Bride of Christ, and we should also be part of a local church. We should join with other believers to “stir up one another to love and good works” (Hebrews 10:24).
What am I getting at? Find a good, Bible-believing church and get involved! We need to run with other believers, cheering each other on and picking each other up.
I led a women’s Bible study at my church on Wednesday nights this spring and loved it. It reminded me that going through the Bible is more fun (and easier to stick to!) with friends. This summer I would love to study the Bible with you!
I’ve developed an obsession with The Bible Project over the past few months and now I’m inviting you to join me (I’m just that sure you’re going to love them too). They have a 12 session Bible study on “When Heaven Meets Earth,” and since I’ve already listened to their podcast series I can’t wait to work my through it. Watch this video for an overview of the the topic.
We’re going to start the week of May 7th (that’s next week!) and end the week of July 23rd. I’m planning on doing a live video on Friday mornings in the group to discuss the week’s material and naturally we can chat in the group through the week!
Can’t wait to see you on Facebook!
