The projects of summer

Summer break, minus the quarantine where some of the family had covid, has reminded me of the best parts of homeschooling. We’re reading aloud a lot, playing outside half the day, and leaving the remnants of projects all over the house.

We finished a 750 piece puzzle on Monday. The upcoming second grader has a four-foot caterpillar inching it’s way down the baseboard of the stairs. Legos are on two floors of the house and a new base has been made in the back yard.

But I’m most excited about easing into a rhythm that involves seeing our friends almost every day again. It is a gift to have people that live only minutes away.
